Who we are

Dice Room (www.diceroom.gg) is operated by Vixac Ltd. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at privacy@diceroom.gg.

What information we collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to run the service.

Roll data. When you roll dice in a room, we store:

• The username you chose when joining the room
• The dice type, result, and time of each roll
• Any optional description you attach to a roll

This data is visible to everyone in the same room.

Functional cookies and local storage. We use:

• username — remembers the name you entered so you don't have to retype it when returning to a room.
• selectedDice — local storage in your browser that remembers your last chosen dice type for convenience.

We do not use these for advertising.

Optional product analytics. If you choose “Accept analytics” in our cookie notice, we use PostHog's EU-hosted service to understand whether core Dice Room features are being used. We send only:

• a randomly generated anonymous identifier stored in the analytics_id cookie;
• your analytics choice, stored in the analytics_consent cookie;
• the successful product event: room created, room viewed, room joined, or dice rolled; and
• limited event details: whether a room has a name, whether you have joined the room, dice type, and whether a roll has a description.

We do not send room IDs or names, usernames, email addresses, roll descriptions, roll results, or the content of a room to PostHog. PostHog is called only from our server; no PostHog code runs in your browser. The analytics cookies last for up to 180 days. If you decline, no analytics identifier is created and no product events are sent. You can change your choice by clearing these cookies in your browser.

What we do not collect

We do not send your IP address, email address, or any information that directly identifies you to our analytics provider. We do not use advertising networks.

Lawful basis

We process functional data on the basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — specifically, to provide the core functionality of the service you have chosen to use. We process optional product analytics only with your consent.

How long we keep your data

Roll data is retained for as long as the room exists. We may delete rooms that have been inactive for an extended period. The analytics cookies expire after 180 days and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings. We retain analytics events for up to 12 months.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or rent your data. If you consent to analytics, we share the limited anonymous analytics data described above with PostHog, which provides our EU-hosted analytics service and processes it on our behalf.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@diceroom.gg and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
